     Michael A. Brown, 53, of Peoria, passed away at 6:25 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Sharon Elms Healthcare in Peoria.

     Michael was born in Memphis, Tennessee, a son of Cleo Wynn and Louise Brown. They preceded him in death. He married Mary K. King on December 15, 1990 in Ripley, Tennessee. She survives.

     He is also survived by his daughters, Latasha of Minnesota and Latina of Peoria; brother Robert Brown of Chicago; five grandchildren; two uncles, Willie (Laurie) Brown and Leon (Gwendolyn) Brown, both of Chicago; one aunt, Mary Brown, of Chicago; niece, Tamela Brown of North Carolina; and three grand nephews, Isik, Trevon and Zaveon Brown.

     Michael was a factory worker and later owned and operated his own lawn care service. He was a member of the Christian Faith Church in Peoria.

     Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Halls, TN, where visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Halls, TN. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

     Local arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 428 West McClure Avenue, in Peoria.
